Converting any listed building can be a challenge, even more so if a change of use is being sought at the same time. We’ve been involved in a number of similar projects though, so we knew what to expect.

The key from both a planning and a design perspective was to retain and enhance as many of the existing features of the interior of the building. The design created a salon that could support six hairdressers at a time with a separate reception area and small office. As with any modern salon, image and style is important, so the interior design was important to bring together all aspects of the project.
